West Lorne 31st Annual Black and Gold Tournament
From November 21-23 Embro Novice 1 White
participated in the West Lorne Black and Gold 31st Annual Tournament and came home with Gold metals.
The players came out flying on Friday winning both their games against Mt Brydges Gold and West Lorne. Saturday afternoon they were in tough against Strathroy Grey down 2 after the first period. By the end of the game they found their stride making it 3 wins in a row.
Sunday morning in the Semi Final game the kids came out flat against Ayr Flames giving up the first goal before scoring five straight to earn a spot in the Championship game. Another meeting with Strathroy Grey proved to be all they could handle. Down 4-2 to start the third the kids fought hard scoring 2 goals and holding Strathroy off, Embro forced overtime. Less than a minute in Embro scored and won the championship.
The coaching staff is very proud of all the players for a fun and exciting weekend.
