OPP Vulnerable Sector Checks (VSC)
Vulnerable Sector Checks – 2025–2026 Season 

All bench staff and officials must complete the online Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) screening process each season. 
Here’s what you need to know: 
  • VSC from 2022 or earlier? 
    ➤ Submit a new VSC and complete the online declaration. 
  • VSC from 2023 or 2024? 
    ➤ Only the online declaration is required. 
  • New coach, trainer, or official? 
    ➤ Submit a VSC and complete the online declaration. 
🔗 You’ll need your HCR number from Spordle to complete the declaration. Helpful videos are available on the webpage to guide you.

Police Checks for volunteers are valid for 3 years. 

If you require an updated police check, please request a Vulnerable Sector Check. These checks can be done free of charge at the OPP website here: OPP Record Check

You will require a letter from the organization to support this request. You can download the EMHA letter here: -2025-2026 letter will be available shortly **please note you will have to fill in your name and position you are applying for on the letter. 

All completed police checks need to be submitted to the OHF through your OHF online submissions portal before the first ice time.
